We have a skilled team that will help the person of concern as well as family members, friends or co-workers begin on a path of healing and recovery.
How Intervention Works
It initially includes a complimentary pre-intervention screening with a member of our staff to learn more about the person of concern and to review which method of intervention will be used for the best outcomes.
Pre-Intervention
We provide an initial pre-intervention assessment to determine if intervention is necessary and appropriate. We then train the intervention team (family, friends, co-workers etc) so they are prepared and educated when the intervention begins in order to achieve the optimum result of having their loved one agree to go for treatment.
Intervention
Many families with the best of intentions have attempted on their own to conduct an intervention on their loved one. The likelihood of success is minimal given the fact that within a few minutes, the one being intervened on usually becomes defensive and the whole process breaks down. This is why it is so important to have an experienced, trained, credentialed and professionally insured individual taking the lead in this life changing initiative. Also, an intervention when conducted by a trained professional can be a vehicle for education and family healing even in the few cases when the alcoholic/addict refuses to accept help at the time of the intervention.
